Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland relies on volunteers to assist our professional staff in implementing programs and special events. Each Club branch location offers volunteer opportunities for adults to work with young people.
Whether your interest is mentoring, interning, tutoring, providing career guidance, teaching a class, coaching, or simply playing a game of hoops, your volunteer experience at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland is meaningful. Your gift of time with these young people will make a difference – in your life and in theirs.
How to Become a Volunteer

We want to make your volunteer experience as meaningful and convenient as possible. There are many ways that you can lend a hand, including:
- Program volunteer
- Become a Mentor
- Tutor a child
- Coach a sports team
- Teach computer skills, digital art, choir or dance, etc.
- Special events volunteer
- Get your corporation to volunteer
All you have to do is fill out a volunteer application and background check form. The whole process takes about two weeks. Once you’re approved and attend orientation, you will be placed in a rewarding position that fits your busy schedule.
