BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE NORTHLAND RECEIVES $25,000 DONATION FROM ROTARY OF DULUTH CLUB 25 TO SUPPORT NEW MENTAL HEALTH ACCESS PROGRAM
DULUTH, MN – The Rotary of Duluth Club 25, has made a generous grant of $25,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland.
Earlier this year, the Rotary of Duluth Club 25 reached out to local non-profits asking for proposals to solve a problem plaguing our local youth. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland outlined a plan to bring mental health services to the local Clubs and help bring our community one step addressing this critical issue.
Michelle Buria, President of the Rotary of Duluth Club 25 will present the check to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland on Wednesday, October 30 at 3:00 pm at the Dave Goldberg Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
The Rotary of Duluth Club 25 raised the funds for this grant by holding a Duck Pluck event. The hard working members of this Rotary Club adopted out 5,000 ducks at $5 per duck. The Ducks were dropped via crane into the Pier B slip on August 15 with winning duck pluck prizes starting at $3,000.
Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service and encourages high ethical standards in all vocations. Rotary of Duluth Club 25 meets at noon on Thursdays, at the Holiday Inn – Lyric Conference Center. (duluthrotary.org)
