BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE NORTHLAND RECEIVES DONATED FUNDS FROM CHOICE UNLIMITED POP-UP ART SHOW
CHOICE, unlimited, a community-based private non-profit organization in Duluth, Minnesota dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities and individuals who are experiencing barriers to employment and community inclusion, recently donated a portion of the funds raised from their student art show to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland.
CHOICE, unlimited offers a visual arts program where students create artwork as a fundraiser for a local non-profit. This year the students chose the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland as the recipient for their pop-up art show fundraiser. The show was held on October 12 at BlueCross BlueShield’s retail center. Artists sold prints with a percentage of proceeds donated to the Clubs.
Students in the CHOICE, unlimited art classes feel a special bond to the Boys and Girls Clubs Lincoln Park Branch in particular, their art classes have been held at the Lincoln Park Community Center for over 10 years.
CHOICE, unlimited offers Employment Services to assist people in obtaining and maintaining long term competitive employment in their communities. Services offered include career exploration, skill assessments, job development, job placement, mentoring, training, and community access. Their agency also provides Community Support Services, assisting individuals in accessing resources, activities and events. Within these activities they offer a variety of arts education and creative pursuits as well as health and wellness opportunities.
