Superior

Membership Secretary: Part-time position

Maintains and updates all membership files in accordance with the policies and procedures of Boys & Girls of the Northland operating procedures and operating budgets of the Club. Must keep accurate data of all traffic in and out of the Club. Promote and stimulate program participation, register new members and participate in their Club orientation process and provide guidance and role modeling to members. Must keep in regular contact with parents and help to maintain the safety of the facility.

Must attend meetings/trainings that facilitate Youth Development Outcomes. Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained.


Duluth

AmeriCorps Promise Fellow: Full-time position

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland, in partnership with AmeriCorps Promise Fellows hosted by Minnesota Alliance With Youth, will deliver evidence-based programming at our two Duluth sites in effort to reduce dropout rates. Interventions will be guided by implementation of the Check & Connect student engagement model, one of the top rated dropout prevention programs in the U.S. Department of Education’s What Works Clearinghouse.

Promise Fellows will be active members of The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland’s professional team and serve at-risk middle and high school youth. Students will receive intense, targeted interventions aimed at increasing attendance, decreasing behavior referrals and putting students on track to graduate with their class.

As a Youth Development Specialist with True North AmeriCorps, you will help schools and community-based programs respond to significant needs their students face relating to social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Service could include a combination of several tasks such as 1:1 check ins, social emotional skill building, enrichment programming and more.

These positions start August 17, 2020 and end August 15, 2021.

Youth Development Staff: Part-time position

This position is responsible for leading programming for youth ages 5 to 18 and serving as role models to a diverse population. Individual must be energetic, motivated, and enjoy working with youth. High School diploma required.  Experience or training in coaching sports teams, teaching, visual arts or performing arts is helpful. Hourly wage, vacation and 401K Benefits. EEOC
