Member Monday ~ Meet Orion, age 15
“Boys & Girls Club has changed my life drastically.”
Orion (age 15) has been a Club Member at our Lake Vermilion Branch for over three years. In that time, he has shown exemplary leadership and motivation to shape the Club into what it is today.
Raised in a single-parent home in a rural area, Orion has been active to surmount any obstacles by being involved in his school and community. Recently, Orion was recognized as our “Member of the Month” for being an engaged, successful student that has represented his school with Students in Government. Orion also became Youth Staff in November 2015.
“Before I came to the Club, I felt like I was never accepted anywhere,” states Orion. “Now, when I come to the Club, I feel like I belong somewhere. When I think about the Club, I feel proud to be part of somewhere that I belong.”
Congratulations, Orion !!
