CONGRATS !! ~ Recently, Flint Group and our Boys & Girls Clubs won the prestigious “Outstanding Marketing & Communications” award from Boys & Girls Clubs of America !!
The award was presented during the BGCA Great Plains Area Council meeting in July 2016 hosted by our Boys & Girls Clubs in Duluth, MN.
In line with our agency’s Strategic Plan – addressing our long-term priority areas – our Strategic Marketing Project goals & objectives include:
- Focus on Board development and marketing to diversify support
- Take advantage of social networking, e-philanthropy, and cause marketing
- Increase our capacity to reach and serve more young people
To achieve our goals & objectives, Flint Group and our Board of Directors worked together to accomplish the following tasks:
- Strategic Planning, Branding & Marketing Training
- Creation of Advertising, Brochures & Signage
- Website Development & Training for Ongoing Maintenance
MESSAGE / THEME: “Here. Now.” (aligned with the BGCA national tagline “Great Futures Start Here.”)
RATIONALE: The future. It’s here. A time and place for boys and girls to grow together through the spirit of community involvement, leadership, volunteerism and learning. But here is more than just a moment in time or a place on a map. Here is now, whenever and wherever Boys & Girls Clubs have the opportunity to change the lives of young people in our community.
“These children excel in the face of adversity. It is amazing what they achieve and how the Boys & Girls Clubs bring out the best in them.” – Phil Wilson, our Board’s Vice President
SPECIAL THANKS ~ Funding for our Strategic Marketing Project was made possible in part by a major grant from the Northland Foundation.
