As local children and families prepare for the back to school season, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland is preparing exciting fall programming for the after-school hours. Boys & Girls Clubs empower youth ages 6 to 18 to excel in school, become good citizens, and lead healthy, productive lives while on the path to great futures.

AN AFTER SCHOOL RESOURCE FOR YOUTH

Our three Clubs, located in Duluth and Superior, provide supportive services during the critical after-school hours. At our Clubs, activities inspire creativity and responsibility. Not only do our staff provide academic support after school, but youth are given a compassionate, safe environment where healthy living and character development are key. Our Clubs also provide daily, healthy meals and snacks to all youth at no additional cost.

Club memberships are only $10, and last from September through August. Scholarships are also available. Our Clubs offer post secondary scholarships as well to Club members that are renewed annually. SUPPORT LOCAL YOUTH DURING BACK2SCHOOL

At the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland, we want to make sure all the youth we serve have the tools they need to start the school year off right. Each year, we serve over 6,000 area youth with supportive services, including academic support during the school months. As the back to school season approaches, many of our youth will need school supplies. Your support of our Back2School campaign will set our kids up for success and ensure our youth, who are full of potential, move on to bright futures.

Our three Clubs as well as our Administrative Offices will be accepting school supplies included on our wish list through Friday, August 25. Each site has a blue drop off bin for collecting supplies. Monetary donations made to the Back2School campaign will also support our Clubs, and can be made at bgcnorth.org/donate.
